Sugar causing skin problems (thinning, cracking, splitting, blisters)

When I eat sugars, the skin on my hands (palms + fingers) first manifests little blisters, then if I keep up the sugar begins to break down - thinning (fingerprints disappearing), cracking. Eventually breaks will occur, and the skin will split and peel (and bleed and hurt like crazy). From what I read online it sounds like severe eczema.

My first thoughts are candida, but I have never seen these symptoms described by candida sufferers.

Does anyone have any ideas why this would be occuring? Is it just candida? Hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia? I have suffered from this condition on and off for my entire adult life, but only recently have traced sugar down to being the main culprit.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated - I am losing my mind with this stuff! :-/

Thanks!

  • That sucks man, I feel for ya. I have sugar problems too. One thing I get is an itchy blister on my big toe. Could be an allergic reaction I guess. How about trying rubbing the hands with sesame oil or coconut oil? That helps my toe. And it helps my cracking hands that I get in the winter. Also, juicing helps me. And some herbs like sarsaparilla, echinacea and oregon grape root are good for eczema. I've noticed that the herbs help me. good luck

  • Hi Jason, I was reading your other post about dark circles and now this one. You may have allergies to the foods you are eating and/or dust. My daughter has the worst dark circles, I mean they look like black eyes they are so purple. We thought it was lack of sleep and it's dust allergies. She's five years old and it was all the stuffed animals in her room and the dust which they attract. She takes claratin every day and has vastly improved. She didn't have watery or itchy eyes or sneezing so we had no idea.

You should be tested, it might help.

    Take care,
    Sandra
    • Sandra...there is a natural product called quercetin which is an anti inflammatory....very good for hayfever and sinitus and such...I would'nt stay with the claratine,it really is not good for a childs body or any body unless used very occassionally....

Try colloidal silvee on your hands Jason...and take it internally as well...also apple cider vinegar is good too...externally and internally...
  • Jason,

Does this happen only when eating refined sugar and/or organic sugar? Either way, there are impurities and toxins being stored in your vital organs that are causing an inflammatory response to the sugar, (your skin is a reflection of what is going on in your vital organs). You need to cleanse these vital organs in order to remedy this problem. Topical creams and lotions will help relieve this condition but not fix it. I have recently cured my psoriasis problem after 15 years using an all natural cleanse. If you're interested send me an email?

    Blessings
    Steve
