Winter cleansing

I'm in NYC, it's December, I feel compelled to start a fast, maybe the master cleanse. What do you folks have to say about cleansing in cold weather months. I will be indoors the first few days, but then it's out in the snow, cold weather, etc.. Any advice on this?

A 7 day or shorter should be ok. At this time of seasons the pores of the body are closed to save energy and keep the body warm. If you've fasted for 10 to 14 or more days, you know that the body temp will drop. That’s the only thing I can see wrong with a long fast this time of year. Any fast is Good.

it feels like a good time for a cleanse to me too.

i am thinking i will do soups all week - with bitter greens, nettles, seaweed, shiitake mushrooms. raw olive oil, dandelion greens because they are popping up allover. probably rice or quinoa and miso too.

i will try and up my intake of herbal teas - red raspberry, oatstraw, nettles

for me - i want to keep eating - but simplify and alkalize. if it goes well and feels right i would do a day in the middle for the master cleanse.

Sounds good I am visiting a friend in Hawaii and is goofy wonderful sister got us up with a quart and a half of warm saltwater. Was thinking the last few days before the new year might feel good to start out lighter too. Thanks for the ideas. . .
