Hello to all. I am new to Tribe. I actually joined to receive support and guidance through cleansing the body and spirit. I am seeking to obtain a healthy relationship with food. I am only maybe 5 pounds overweight. I walk and do pillates or dance regularly. But I find myself either overeating or undereating on a regular basis. I want to get to a point where I am eating stable amounts of food and energy. So, I am beginning the Master Cleanse in a few days. I am very excited. I also want to take this time during the cleanse to work on my emotional issues about my appearance and deal with my self-esteem levels. I know I know. That seems like a lot. But I have been slowly working on all this for years. I finaly feel at a place in my life where I am able to deal with it.

I am looking for advice/support in dealing with food cravings on the cleanse. I don't eat red-meat. Don't drink much caffeine (maybe one cup a week). But I drink milk every couple of days, eat fish, and have a MEAN sugary tooth. And I could eat wheat pasta like nobodys business. I eat a lot of cereals, yogurt, and have a suuuper hard time staying away from vegan treats (like cookies) and soy ice-cream. My goal is to break this. I just don't want to even think about sugary stuff anymore. Maybe a dessert every now and then with my boyfriend ...but not every day! Any thoughts are welcome. I am a little scared about dealing with the cravings during the cleanse. Thanks =)

    Hey Amanda,

I am doing a master cleanse also. I've just completed two days, and the lemon drink helps with the cravings. Like you, I have a major sweet tooth and love vegan desserts. I think the most important thing is to keep a positive and focused mindset. Don't think of what you are not having; think of what you are gaining and will be gaining with this cleanse. Surround yourself with support. Read inspirational books. I've been reading a lot of books on cleansing and fasting. Use this time to give yourself extra love - soak in a bath or give yourself a facial.

    Good luck!
