Master Cleanse Question

topic posted Sat, February 10, 2007 - 8:48 PM by  Eylon
Hi,

I want to start on the master cleanse asap and do not have the book but don't want to wait until I get it. Is there any web site that is good enough with recipe and schedule so ?I can start using only that? Also how important is using grade B (vs. Grade A) maple syrup?

Thanks,
Eylon

well, i had the book. i just looked all over my room for it but can't find it. i did the cleanse once. i dont remember the exact measurements of anything though. if i come across it today i will let you know. you may be able to purchase the book online and just download it. its only about 20 short pages. more like an informational pamphlet. they must even sell it at whole foods i bet. give them a call. you could just copy down the recipe. pretty basic stuff.

Hi Eylon, I didn't refer to the book when I tried the Master Cleanse. I found a Word document on-line somewhere that had most of the pertinent information. Unfortunately I don't have that document anymore and it was a few years ago so I can't recall which site I grabbed it from. Here are some links that might help you out:

Regarding Grade B maple syrup: www.mastercleanser.com/master...r-2.htm
    yestheyrefake.net/lemonade_...ournal.htm
    www.therawfoodsite.com/mastercleanse.htm

I found the entire text of the Master Cleanse book using a Google search but I didn't include the link above. I’m not sure what would be the implications of posting copyrighted content here =P

Good luck with your cleanse. The last few days of my cleanse were a wild ride lol.

it is VERY important to EDUCATE yourself before beginning a fast. (a link to the entire book online at end of post)

      from curezone.com/forums/f.asp

The Master Cleanser by Stanley Burroughs
also known as The Lemonade Diet or The Lemonade Fast

      Purpose:

To dissolve and eliminate toxins and congestion that have formed in any part of the body.
To cleanse the kidneys and the digestive system.
To purify the glands and cells throughout the entire body.
To eliminate all unusable waste and hardened material in the joints and muscles.
To relieve pressure and irritation in the nerves, arteries, and blood vessels.
To build a healthy blood stream.
To keep youth and elasticity regardless of our years.
To purify mind, thoughts and to get in touch with your spirit.

      WHEN TO USE IT?

When sickness has developed—for all acute and chronic conditions.
When the digestive system needs a rest and a cleansing.
When overweight has become a problem.
When better assimilation and building of body tissue is needed.
When you need to make an important decision.
When you need to have clear mind and clear thoughts.
      When you feel like fasting.

      HOW OFTEN?

Follow the diet for a minimum of 10 days or more—up to 40 days and beyond may be safely followed for extremely serious cases. The diet has all the nutrition needed during this time. Three to four times a year will do wonders for keeping the body in a normal healthy conditions. The diet may be undertaken more frequently for serious conditions.

      HOW TO MAKE IT?

2 Tablespoons lemon or lime juice (approx. ½ lemon)
2 Tablespoons genuine maple syrup Grade B or C (Not maple flavored sugar syrup)
1/10 Teaspoon cayenne pepper (red pepper) or to taste
      Water, medium hot
Combine the juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper in a 10 oz glass and fill with medium hot water. (Cold water may be used if preferred.)

Use fresh (organic) lemons or limes only, never canned lemon or lime juice nor frozen lemonade or frozen juice.

This is not all. You also need to do something for your bowel movements.
Fasting on liquids will, in most people, promote stagnation of feces in the large intestine. (you will loose the need to move bowel.)

One thing suggested is salt water flush.

What is a salt water flush? (SWF)

It is traditinal Ayurveda intestinal and body cleanse.

      Prior to Cleanse

If you have problems with constipation, please clean your bowls with a safe herbal laxative (i.e. senna or garcinia) or with enema/colonics, for one or two days before this cleanse.

      Salt-Water Flush Recipe

1 quart (1 Liter) Water - heat up to lukewarm temperature
2 Level TEASPOONS Natural, Unrefined Sea Salt (no additives)
Juice from a Lime/Lemon - if required to offset the taste
      16oz (1/2 Liter) Serving Cup
Alarm Clock - set to sunrise

Salt from a natural source (like natural unrefined sea salt) is better for cleaning the body than refined and iodized salt. Natural unrefined Sea salt (without harmfull additives) is the best choice. Grounded Unrefined Rock Salt can also be used in absence of Unrefined Sea salt.

YES!!! You should drink 1 Quart (1 Liter) in one sitting, every morning, at sunrise.

Are there people who should not follow this diet?

Yes. If you have no at least one bowel movement per day, you need first to get to that point with diet and exercises, before you start fasting. If you are unable to tolerate lemon juice, or you are unable to tolerate maple syrup (chronic severe candidasis), or you are unable to tolerate sea salt, Master Cleanser is not for you!

The only way to find out if you are able to go on this diet is to try it for a day or two, or three. After that time, you will know.

To learn more, read messages posetd on The Master Cleanse Forum here on CureZone, and read The Master Cleanse FAQ .

To find more info on this diet, you are advised to read the book:

Thanks for all the information. Don't worry, I did not start totally ignorant :)

I am just trying it on for size this time and plan on a 4 days ride only. I am on day 2 and it is pretty easy and simple so far. The only problem was I think I brewed the senna tea a bit too strong yesterday... but I think I got it down right this time.
